Do You Think the Goverment Has Done All it Can to Solve the HIV/AIDS Crises?

THIS WAS SUBMITTED BY CAROL STAMOS:

To be honest I do not believe that the govermemnt has done nearly enough to fight against HIV or AIDS. Unfortunately diseases spread more quickly within poorer neighborhoods and impoverished communities. One reason for this is due to lack of community health centers and free health care for the poor. The informaition in available but if there aren't any community centers to assist with literacy then pamphelts are a waste of time and money in low income neighborhoods.

Then we have the middle class who can read, however they work so hard two and sometimes three jobs just to make, that health care is the least of their concern. So, though the economic class can read a pamphlet they don't have the time to follow the instructions.

Now, this brings us to the upper middle class. they seem to be doing alright for themselves, they can afford to have just one job. The read the pamphlets and all of the information that is available, but the deductable for health insurance is outrageous, and they only want to pay if they really have to. They rather spend their money on getting together with family, friends and enjoying life.

This last peice is strictly my opinion. "The First Class People" read and do all they're suposed to but, there's one things, most think they're untouchable. "It" can't happen to them.

In all cases I believe the goverment has failed at meeting the american people were they are. Each class of people have different needs and it's up to the goverment to provide help and assistance at they're level.

It's an honor to be nominated...

and I'd love to win BEST FEMALE AUTHOR OF THE YEAR!

My nomination is due to CONSEQUENCES, a novel I penned, challenging
readers to raise HIV awareness. If you haven't read it, please go to my
website and check it out, www.LindaRHerman.org. It's a work of fiction
but educational and the emotions are very real.

If you will, please help my dream come true by voting for me at
www.literaryawardshow.com. I've been nominated for BEST FEMALE
AUTHOR OF THE YEAR! My anthology, SOMEBODY PRAYED FOR ME
